I do suppose that my address and phone number used to be in a book that everyone had. Anyone who knows my name could show up at my front door, or call me up. Do I find that creepy? I guess not.
I could show up at the front door of Allen Swift’s apartment building. He is the author of the show we are designing right now, Checking Out. I guess the apartment in the show is not necessarily his. He could be thinking of a friend’s place. Would this level of specificity with the set dressing would be creepy for a friend’s place?
uh. I think and hope this is the playwright’s own apartment. Would a friend notice how many pillows I sleep with? Yep. That would be creepy.
