That is what the main character of Prima Facie would wear.
To look like a “thoroughbred” crown barrister, you must wear an “expensive, understated, designer grey or navy suit”. There are many many suits that fit that description. It is this phrase that gives us a clue about what that suit specifically needs to be:
“an ironic way of owning the space”
I couldn’t write better words for what Jil Sander clothes do.
Barristers have to wear white button up shirts and dark stockings (no reference to a nude leg, evidently). To most folks that looks like a plain grey suit, but I think that this woman does have “an ironic way of owning the space”, especially when you tweak this runway look to meet the specifications of an unspoken work uniform.
