Jacket Weather?
A costume designer from LA, who grew up in Irvine, told me that folks in Southern California wear coats for the look of it - not because they are needed. She was explaining her “chubby” - a grey/purple short fake fur jacket that doesn’t close - that I pulled out of her closet just weeks after she had moved to the NorthEast….”you wore this in Southern California”. She said that she does sometimes see full length furs … in LA?!?!
So. Outerwear as a look. Including in July … outside in the sun!?!?
Wait. I will do us one better….Black wool pants in August!
Okay, so a synthetic suit will make you sweat, even inside in November. (However, she looks perfect.) And black wool double breasted suits do not seem to have made anyone balmy … yet.
So, in the neutral month, September, you can do any of the above or below, including shorts or an undershirt.
