Hmmm…a shiny satin boxer robe with The Clack written across her shoulders would be 100% appropriate. Upon retirement from teaching she upgraded from amateur culture consumer - she went pro. If she emerged from her room in the morning to fill her water bottle (almost a boxer’s squeeze bottle - iridescent purple to silver ombré with a faceted “diamond” lid and silver straw) wearing that robe — everyone would clear out in front of her on her way to her K-Pop power session.
K-Pop is the warm-up. Her powers of culture absorption really shine when she enters her room for a K-drama multi-episode event. Here she earns the moniker The Clack by loudly appreciating comedy and plot twists with a loud bwa-ha!
I wish I could import The Clack for the final weekend of New Rep’s Diaspora by Phaedra Michelle Scott. She would be disappointed by the choreography in the final K-Pop dance number, but tickled that they tried. I cannot predict whether she would be inspired by the characte…
