Sure, Jeremy Strong standing on a table declaiming “This is all built on lies!” is moving…but a 17 year old standing on that table pleading to their parents and peers to be honest about the society we have built - that will be wonderful.

We fully formed adults save all of the good stuff for ourselves.

This production was shockingly beautifully wonderfully perfectly done. So good.

The age 30+ more-than-middle-class-money crowd at this show is the one that needs the stern talking to. The Enemy of the People at Circle in the Square Theater in Times Square was filled with us fully-formed-frontal-lobe-folks. The audience was young (for theater) with so many 40-somethings and a heavy dose of 30’s and late 20’s folks. This show was probably perfect for who showed up for it.
