She never ate junk food. Ever. Not even a little bit. And she forbid her kid to eat it, too.

She owned chickens and a house with a giant garden and orchard. So she could always have healthy food that she trusted. Who eats an apple at a carnival?

The house she chose was small, for Hollywood standards, it used to be the stable for a bigger estate. It had a pool, an orchard, and aviary and lots of room for a garden that provided 90% of her little family’s food. Her daughter says she chose to own land as opposed to diamonds or furs because, “they aren’t making more of it”. She said, “land gives you stability” and you can survive if you have to …

She had a garden so she would never run out of food!

and she always brought home half of her meal at restaurants. Even at pricey Hollywood restaurants she would arrive with tupperware in her purse.
