Write about scars, not wounds.

Hmm…Fresh wounds can serve as a warning. So, maybe do quick write-ups about the thing that hurt so no one else stubs their toe on the way in. No perseverating, though. Note observations and feelings and then give it distance.

I like this policy.

Festering wounds, however, spread infection. I try not to write about those.

…or…Better yet - let’s not have any festering wounds.

I stuck a hot iron on my what-designers-get-paid/what-is-asked-of-designers festering wound. It is now a scar. You let me know if the lingering smell of burnt flesh bothers you.
