How old are the following spoons?

Setting: 1930’s. A city in Europe.

All of the above are André Kertész still lifes from 1929 to 1934, probably in Paris. So, all of the items would live in the setting for She Loves Me: “1930s. A city in Europe.” Each item certainly looks like my understanding of something from Europe in the 1930s.

Would you be able to find any of the above things in your neighborhood right now? Something pretty close?

If we were to fill the stage with things like those, and we were very very careful that the glass was sufficiently wobbly, and the ceramics sufficiently thin, and the metal sufficiently dinged up - the overall effect might transport us out of 2020s USA. Sometimes just putting an ash tray or a water basin onstage does the job.

What about these two scenes above? Someone with a powerful sense memory … or a very good set designer … will be able to give us the decade and the city. Paris in the 30s; New York in the 70s.
