You do have to pay. But the amount is variable.

Moonbox Productions has a $65 ticket price, $20 for students. But it is Pay-What-You-Want, no questions asked. You have to pay at least $1 per ticket. You can do it online, or in person.

A.R.T. used to have Pay-What-You-Want $5-$150 for teachers on the first Tuesday night of previews. I haven’t seen that program so far this year.

The Somerville High School production of Kinky Boots we are going to see this weekend had a Pay-What-You-Want ticket set up in increments of 5 from $5 to $25.

The Wilma Theater has Pay-What-You-Want for their first previews and the Black Affinity Nights.
