I love this book artist.
Was Mx. Tsao just a very typical 1960’s illustrator and I love the style of that time? or did they have a hand in making the style of the time?
Ms. Tsao’s covers look like the books I saw on my high school teacher’s bookshelves - their collection acquired as college English majors.







Funny drawings.
I would pick up that copy of Barchester Towers by Anthony Trollope, only because that drawing of 2 vicars smirking like they are about to do each other dirty has me at hello.
If I put that Oliver Twist in front of my kids I bet I would get some takers. They may even persist through the 7 commas, 3 semicolons and 1 colon of the first sentence to get to whatever moment has that kid with the candle cackling.
