There is no case study on program ads.
No mention of small money fundraising in What Managing Directors Need to Know by the Yale School of Drama. We are going to have to do our own case study.
In fact, recently, I don’t think I have seen advertisements in programs at big regional theaters. Some theaters have a one-page flyer and a QR code to the online content. Others have these letter-paper sized booklets with big font and glossy photos. My favorites are the classic bi-fold programs with so many personal letters to the audience from the team but no images - just black and white printer paper but with a beautiful cotton coverpage with a letterpress image. Such elegant restraint!
