I am familiar with this concept. As soon as I heard the phrase, Secret White People Money, I knew what it meant. I always thought of it as Allowance for Grown-ups. I heard this term explained by the woman who coined it, the Refinery29 Money Diaries editor, Hannah Rimm. When she elaborated on this idea, she included inherited money, inherited housing and lack of student loan debt under the umbrella of this Secret Money; not just grocery money - though that was on the list, too. She noted that when she looked these people up, they tended to be white.
