The show I am working on has a mom sitting politely and patiently in a chair at the back of the stage, the whole time.

We are to assume that she is the mother of Billy Porter, the 11 year old piano player and composer that grew up to be a famous musician/singer in his own right and an honorary Beatle.

There will be a real mom sitting in a very similar folding chair just off stage. That is the real mom of the child actor playing Billy Preston. Maybe I should just take a look at off-stage mom and then make on-stage mom look just like her?
