I love a clothing-focused beginning to a novel!
That is the first half of Prima Facie’s opening paragraph. This is the novel about a female barrister in England that became a one-woman play. It does not take a ton of imagination to conjure a navy suit and a white shirt … but I think my reference point for that lawyer uniform is Hollywood-created. And, not quite right, I am sure.
… if I am being honest … my perspective skews polka dotted and pink:


preceded by animal printed … and pink,


no pink on Ally McBeal, but, oddly enough, the least believable of all of the lawyerly ensembles.
