G for General. We had to explain what G stands for to our 8 year old yesterday as we were searching for a movie to watch. We settled on The Bicycle Thief because I had read many times that it was one of the best movies ever made.
Rated G by current authorities on who-should-be-wary-of-what.
uh. devastating. It is a devastating movie. My husband called the ending a happy one. A few very very positive things happen in the last few minutes. However, no one would call it a classic happy ending.
No one dies. No sexual content. Threat of violence and a slap across a kid’s face. Disney level stuff - but devastating because it felt very very real.
