Choir rooms are set up like Noh Theaters.

Seating on 2 sides facing a flat space. The local high school has a few choir rooms, so the drama classes happen in a room that looks like the one on the left below, minus the windows and ceiling height (the performing arts are all in the basement, I think. Passing by, you occasionally see musicians practicing on the steps in front of the theater building. I am assuming that is for the vitamin D):

the ones on the right are the actual room. sound absorbing panels on the sides with bars, and a grid! with a lot of flourescent/LED lights. but a different light look is probably very possible. Oh no! Those theater kids stayed in the basement so long they lost all of their melanin!

Perfect! The 2008 Our Town directed by David Cromer tried to get an audience on at least 2 sides for every show, and most often did 3 sides. Instead of a raised stage, like the typical Noh theater above, he put everyone on the floor, with 2 levels of risers.
