Theater hates invisible zippers!
They bust open easily. They simply aren’t as strong as standard zippers. Some wardrobe departments will insist on metal zippers. Or big fat plastic ones. Easy to zip, hard to bust.
We should call zippers that aren’t invisible, ‘visible zippers’.
So, even on a Broadway show with a budget and an army of makers that could definitely put in an invisible zipper beautifully - you have a bunch of puffy zippers dancing around.
