When I put clothing into the search box on Visual Capitalist’s site, they give me this map:

It sent me here because this map is followed by a break down of how folks are spending, starting with this set of sentences: “Accessories (40%) were a favorite non-essential purchase, especially for men. Men who frequently bought accessories such as sunglasses and watches (35%) were likelier than women (22%) to say it was their favorite thing to spend their money on. Clothes and shoes (37%) were the second most common items purchased, with 29% of people saying it was their favorite thing to spend money on.”
Are we to assume that the culture of credit card use equals financial savvy (incentives and a few weeks of growing interest in your own bank? growing your credit score?) or does credit card use imply spending beyond one’s means?
I am going to imagine that is a mix of both, and deem that char…
