Barathea weave for wool suiting.
I remember reading about it at some museum exhibition of Dior clothing. When you look up the word it gives you the above Dior suit, the below 1950’s suits, and many cheap modern tuxedos.



I think if you could zoom well enough on those suit photos you might start to get a sense of the weave. It is bouncy. Spongy. Bubbly. It has some squish to it. Great for Dior’s Bar Jacket.
