Tonight, you can see a show for however many $ you want, at the best theater in the country. Last night, The Good Person of Setzuan began its run at the Wilma theater in Philadelphia. Tomorrow is AAPI Affinity Night and it is Pay-What-You-Decide, too.
I have been seeing shows at the Wilma for 20 years. The energy is always right. Right, as in, we are all being alive together in those minutes. Right, like, I am here right now and you are here, too. Right, meaning fun, electric, funny, heart-breaking, cathartic, etc. etc. Not boring. It’s hard to describe the whole experiencing a story together-thing without stepping into give-me-some-grant-money-cliché-chat gpt-words.
